I was born in Lima, Ohio and graduated from Bluffton High School. After high school I attended Ashland University where I studied Middle Childhood Education. I also was an active member of Ashland University's track and field program where I competed in the heptathlon and pentathlon. While in college, I enjoyed ceramics classes and being outdoors whenever I could be. I also enjoyed training local middle school and high school athletes in their track events.
Following my graduation, I was hired by Wooster City Schools to teach 5th grade language arts and social studies. I taught for two years in this position, and coached middle school track and field for the duration of my time there. In Spring of 2015 our athletes achieved a conference championship.
In 2015 I was hired by Bath to teach 6th grade social studies and coach track and field. I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to come back "home" and teach in a familiar area. I enjoy the Bath community and am surrounded by wonderful coworkers.
